Zirconium-oxide
The zirconium-oxide is metal-free, so it is anti-allergic. It meets the stricktest requirements of implantology. Since the reactions of the soft tissues to it are excellent, the gum remains healthy around the crowns and bridges.
The Zirconium is essentially a variety of ceramic, but it is much
stronger and less fragile. While the tensile strength of
the traditional porcelain crowns are 120 – 190 Mpa, then the
zirconium-oxid crowns more then 1200Mpa, so we receive an
extremely chargeable surface.
(The dental enamel tensile strength is circa 200 Mpa ).
Thanks to this new ceramic material (cercon), all-porcelain
replacements can be made extremely stable and esthetically
outstanding. All-porcelain restorations made of Cercon can last
for decades as proven by 10 year clinical experience.
The strong but grey metal framework of traditional metal ceramic
crowns raised many problems:

insufficient aesthetic end result: the metal frame of
traditional metal ceramic crowns does not let light
through, therefore the transparency of these crowns
differs from that of natural teeth.

To solve the above mentioned problems, zirconium dioxide based frames have been developed. A frame was necessary
which is strong as a metal one but does not have the colour of
metal, nor is made of it.
Zirconium is an esthetic and tissue-friendly solution.
It has been used for 20 years in medicine since it is well tolerated by the human body. The zirconium-oxide based crowns are the latest innovation of
modern aesthetic dentistry.

computer technique, extremely precise frames can
